Look…I got it done on Wednesday again…hrrmmm…I get a win…posts come out earlier…you guys should let me win more often…2 Quarterbacks make History…a 3-Time Award Winner…and 2 2-Timers…Ryan’s Nightmare…#25 ends 30…The Bucs Division is streaky…Storm Division Success…and more Quarterback tidbits…lets go…
Russell Wilson (BBA)
2 Quarterbacks surpassed the 30 point mark in Week 7…As the Seahawks fell behind early…Russell Wilson pulled out all the stops…he completed 23 of 36 attempts for 313 yards and his 5th 2 Touchdown game of the year…but he also piled on another 106 yards on the ground…including another 19 yard score…becoming the 1st Quarterback to ever throw for 300 yards and run for 100 yards in the same game…ending on 39 points…Peyton Manning then took the stage on Sunday night with his own history to make…22 of 26 passing (84.6%) went for 318 yards and 4 Touchdowns…but none as sweet as the 8 yard strike to Demaryius Thomas that gave him #509 and sole posession of the NFL Touchdown Title…he took off the entire 4th Quarter to celebrate ending short of the title at 31 points…39 points is the highest Quarterback score this season and a new Team Record for Bubba Army…it is the 1st award for Wilson and the 2nd trophy on the year for The Army…
Matt Forte (WAR)
I think the question of who should have been drafted #1 overall for 2014 has been answered…DeMarco Murray (19 Points) led everyone on the ground…again…with 128 yards…setting a new NFL Record with 7 straight games rushing for 100+ yards to start the season…LeVeon Bell (27 Points) led all Running Backs in the air getting 88 yards on 8 catches…57 yards on the ground gave him a new Steelers record of 7 straight games with 100+ yards from scrimmage to start the season…but Matt Forte edged everyone out…again…with the balanced attack…49 yards on 12 carries and 60 yards on 6 catches (He still leads the entire NFL in receptions on the year)…getting both of Chicago’s only 2 scores against the Dolphins…1 on the ground and 1 in the air…to end on 28 points…It is the 3rd straight Player of the Week award for Forte…and the 5th overall trophy for the Warriors…
Demaryius Thomas (HUR)
2 Wide Receivers managed to hit the 30 point barrier in Week 7…with Megatron forced onto the sidelines…the AllSpark was used on Golden Tate…who did his best CJ impression…pulling in a carreer high 10 Receptions from a career high 13 Targets (76.9%)…for a career high 154 yards…including a game saving 73 yard Touchdown catch and run to end on 31 Points…but his all-time career best…was not enough…Demaryius Thomas needed only 8 Catches on 9 Targets (88.9%) to pile up 171 yards (21.4 ypc) and had 2 Touchdown grabs including the above mentioned Record Breaker on his way to ending with 37 points…He now holds the 2 highest Wide Receiver scores on the year…it is the 2nd Player of the Week award for Thomas…and the 2nd trophy on the year for Hurricanes…
Adam Vinatieri (WAR)
No kicker managed to follow the path in Week 7 creating a tight set of scores…Steven Hauschka and Nick Novak both had only 4 Kick Opportunities getting 2 & 2 to end on 8 points…Mason Crosby got 6 Opportunities…but 5 were for Extra Points in the Packers rout ending him also on 8 points…Stephen Gostkowski…Justin Tucker…and Adam Vinatieri all ended with 5 Kick Opportunities…all 3 got it backwards with 2 Field Goals and 3 Extra Points putting them on 9…but Vinatieri hit a 50 yard bonus earner to end ahead of the rest at 10 points…the only 2-Digit score on the weekend…It is the 2nd Player of the Week award for Vinatieri…and the 6th overall trophy on the year for the Warriors…
Baltimore Ravens (RNT)
After multiple weeks of multiple 2-Digit Defenses…Week 7 finds us with only 1 team able to make it to that level…fortuneately it was in the positive direction…as we end a 3 week stretch of Defenses actually costing teams a game…The Ravens Defense tormented Matt Ryan the entire afternoon…He was sacked 5 times on the day…including coughing up a Fumble inside the Red Zone…and giving up a Safety to Terrell Suggs…a lone Touchdown allowed to Roddy White with 7:18 to play prevented the Shut-Out…but Baltimore still finishes in the top slot with 17 points…It is the 1st Player of the Week award for the Ravens…the 2nd Defensive Award…and 5th overall trophy on the year for Runs N Throses…
Team of the Week
There was heated competiton in Week 7 to end on top…After the early games…Russell Wilson led Bubba Army to a narrow 95-92 edge over Warriors…with Grandmasters a Touchdown back at 87…4pm Action had the Army climb to 119…but done for the day…Warrriors play of Cousins over Big Ben cost him as he ended at 113…Emmanuel Sanders brought the Grandmasters within Kicking Distance…but Phil Dawson missed a 51 yard attempt that would have brought them to 120 and ended on 115 instead…So it came down to Monday Night…Thrashers looking for the record tying 5th Award on the year trailed by 58…but had his 3 best players to go…including the Running Game for both teams and the Receiving Game for the Steelers…they delivered with a 59 point surge to end on 120…but Andre Johnson’s 1st catch for 13 yards proved enough to hold them off…It is our 1st Elvis score of the season…the award is the 25th overall for Bubba Army…moving them back ahead of Armed N Dangerous into 1st Place on the All-Time chart…and ending a drought of 30 Weeks without winning the award…
Chump of the Week
While the Champ Competition was a race to the end…the Chump Competition was over early…after the 4pm Sunday games Josh was finished with only 54 points…Efficiency was at 87.1%…but that was from his full Potential of only 62 points…still not good enough for even a Coulda Won against any team to get out of this position…only 3 players on the full 16 man roster managed to reach 2-digit scores…with 10 positions scoring 2 or less…after the quick 3-0 start with what was touted as 1 of the best Franchise Player squads coming out of the draft…X-Factor is now on a 4 game losing streak…
Chump Survivor
Average scoring fell 13 points in Week 7…the lowest level since Week 11 of last season…but X-Factor dropped 29 points from Week 6…maintaining last week’s 4 Touchdown deficit…54 Points is the lowest score to be eliminated this year….the 2nd lowest score to ever leave the competiton (XFA 51…2013 Week 2)…Week 7 matches Josh’s previous longest stay in the competiton from 2012…6 teams remain…RNT is the sole remaining Buccaneers Division representative…the Storm Division still holds 2 slots…and the Bandits Division holds 3…but that includes the Bottom 2…
Notes & Numbers
Hurricanes have slid to their 7th consecutive loss…this now sits all alone as the 2nd longest Losing Streak to Start a Season…and tied for the 8th Longest Losing Streak of All-Time (Both in 1 Season and across Multiple Seasons)…
Warriors win over Money Inc puts them on a 4 game Win Streak…It ends a 6 game losing streak to the Money Men…it is the 2nd Losing Streak of 6 games or more ended by Warriors in as many weeks…
The Armed N Dangerous comeback win over Fudgie Whales moved them up to 4-3 on the year…making all 4 Storm Division teams over .500 after 7 Weeks of play…3 Teams in the same Division at .500 or better after 7 Weeks has happened 7 times (including 2 Divisions last year)…but never all 4…If they can all win in Week 8 and 10…then split their final Divisional Games…all 4 could end the year with a winning record…
TDQBITU™ played his 200th Regular Season game of his career on Thursday night against the Jets…Brady has a personal Win-Loss record of 153-47 (.765)…It is the most wins through 200 games by any player in NFL history…Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Gene Upshaw share 2nd place both with 146 victories over their 1st 200 games…
Peyton Manning not only broke the All-Time Touchdown record…but had his 33rd 4-Touchdown game of his career…He is #1 on that list as well (8 ahead of Brees)…In the 22 games since the start of last season…Manning has had 11 4-Touchdown outings…No other quarterback has 5 4-Touchdown games in that span…
Peyton Manning (4 and 4)…Aaron Rodgers (3 and 3)…and Colt McCoy (1 and 1)…all had perfect Touchdown to Incompletion ratios of 1.0…they combined for only 8 incompletions…going 52 of 60 (86.7%) with 8 Touchdowns…
