Week 9
And then there were 4…Average scoring climbed back up to 114 points in Week 9…the 2nd highest total of the year…only 2 teams left in the competition managed to reach that level…Hurricanes was the only team in 2-Digit scoring however and fall out of the competition with 79 points…it is the latest Week Hurricanes has ever been removed from the contest…having won the 1st 2 years…
Week 10
Average scoring took a major 24 point fall in Week 10 down to 90 points…again only 2 of our remaining teams made that cut…with the Final Bandit Division teams battling it out for the bottom rung of the ladder…In the end it was Husslers decision to ride the Falcons Defense on a Bye Week instead of using any of the 7 Free Agent Defenses that scored 9 or better that let them lose by 7 points and fall out of the competition…leaving 1 team left from each Division…
Week 11
Average scoring fell again to only 80 points in Week 11…the lowest total ever in our PPR era (81 Points…2006 Week 5)…and the lowest total in 10 years (79 Points…2005 Week 10)…All 3 Finalists scored North of that figure…but it was 1st Place or Bust as Bay Area Thrashers and Bubba Army tied for Team of the Week honors (3rd in a Row for BAT)…leaving the 2014 Chump Survivor Champions Runs N Throses on the outside…The Buccaneer Division had won all 3 Chump Survivor Championships so far…this is will be the 1st Chump Survivor Final for Bubba Army having previously never lasted longer than Week 4…it is also the 1st Chump Survivor Final for Bay Area Tharshers and the 1st appearance by a Storm Division team…Thrashers had finished in Week 11 of the 2013 tourney…
Week 12
Congrats to Kevin and the Bay Area Thrashers…they survived the Chump Tie in Week 6…their only game this year under 100 points (96)…then ran out 6 games Averaging 118 points per game…including 3 Team of the Week outputs over that time frame…This makes the 1st Storm Division Chump Champion…and makes 4 years in a row that the Bandit Division has served as Runner-Up…
