3 teams made it to 2-Digit scoring in Week 5…the Minnesota Vikings continued their pursuit of perfection by harassing Brock Osweiler…they allowed only 19 completions on 42 attempts (45.2%)…Sacking him 4 times and continued their streak of at least 1 Interception in every game…a 79 yard Punt Return would bring them to 14 points…on Thursday Night Football…the Cardinals helped Blaine Gabbert stay on his knees with 7 Sacks…including a Fumble Recovery and Safety…they added 2 Interceptions to finish the night with 15 points…freshly snagged from the Waiver Wire…the Bills went after Case Keenum…getting 4 Sacks of their own including extending their streak with a Fumble Recovery in every game this Season…2 Interceptions including a 41 yard Pick-6 would secure them the title with 16 points…it is the 1st Defense of the Week award for the Bills…and the 2nd overall trophy on the year for Runs N Throses…

We knew it had to happen eventually…but deep down…I know we all thought some way…some how…this streak was going to continue…Despite all of Hurricanes past success…the 1 pain point in their history was an 0-8 record against Bay Area Thrashers…the 2 teams started things off with a 58 point explosion on Thursday Night…with Running Back of the Week Johnson taking a 32 to 26 advantage over Fitzgerald…Thrashers had only 2 early Sunday players but posted 31 points from them to reach 57…Hurricanes matched that with the 34 from Quarterback of the Week Big Ben and climbed to 109…Thrashers stormed back in the PM games with 68 points to sit only 1 behind 125 to 126…and it would all come down to Lacy vs Crosby on Sunday Night Football…Lacy reached 11 yards to tie the score at 126…then Crosby hit an Extra Point to go back up by 1…Lacy scrambled for 66 more yards to take a 132 to 127 lead before Crosby hit a 2nd Extra Point and a Field goal as time expired at the half to trail 132 to 131…4 more yards Rushing and a catch of Lacy’s only target on the night brought Thrashers to 134 when Eddie was sidelined with an ankle injury in the 3rd Quarter…his replacement went only 9 yards on 3rd and 11 to force another Field Goal at 13:46 in the 4th Quarter…Starks then managed only 4 yards on 4 Carries on the next drive forcing the final 25 yard dagger at 6:42 that gave us our final 137 to 134…Mighty Lacy had struck out…the streak busting performance is Hurricanes 2nd award of the year…they move into a 4th place tie with Runs N Throses with their 19th time claiming the title as a franchise…with 109 Regular Season Games played…they lead the league with a 17.43% Champ Rate…
