Players of the Week

Patrick Mahomes (BAT)

3 Quarterbacks topped 30 points in Week 2…and 2 of them are once again on the X-Factor roster…Dak Prescott (XFA) rode the pine again against the Redskins going 26 of 30 for 269 yards and 3 Touchdowns…69 rushing yards is like getting another Touchdown for free from this position as he topped out at 31.35 points to lead the All-Bench Team again…Lamar Jackson (XFA) was less accurate in Week 2 going 24 of 37 but still adding 2 Touchdowns in the air…he piled on another 120 yards on the ground from 16 caries (7.5 ypc) to edge out his teammate with 33.60 for the ACTIVE roster…Patrick Mahomes (BAT) played rope-a-dope with the Raiders in the Sunday Afternoon frame…letting them slide into a 10 point lead before dropping the hammer…he went 11 of 17 for 278 yards and 4 scores in the 2nd quarter…(29.90 points) including a stretch of 6 completions for 188 yards and 3 scores in the final 5 minutes of the half (a perfect 158.3 QB Rating)…he topped out at 443 yards and 37.05 points…

Dalvin Cook (GWF)

5 Running Backs topped 20 points in Week 2…Ezekiel Elliot (DAB) had the most carries (23) for 111 yards and a Touchdown to end on 20.00 points…Le’Veon Bell (FUD) led all backs with 10 Receptions with 129 total yards to reach 21.90 points…Saquon Barkley (RNT) had only 3 Receptions…but piled up 135 All-Purpose Yards and his 1st Touchdown on the year to reach 22.50 points…Austin Ekeler (BBA) lead all ACTIVE backs with 67 receiving yards on 6 Receptions…another 66 yards on the ground including a 1 yard TD plunge totaled him out at 24.30 points…Dalvin Cook (GWF) did the most damage on the ground with a Career High 154 yards on 20 carries including a 75 yard Touchdown…3 Receptions for another 37 yards in the air was enough to lift him to the top slot with 28.10 points…

Odell Beckham Jr (UOG)

4 Wide Receivers hit the 25 point plateau in Week 2…Kenny Golladay (RNT) turned 10 Targets from Matt Stafford into 8 Receptions for 117 yards…7 First Downs…and the game winning 31 yard Touchdown in the 4th Quarter to reach 25.70 points…Chris Godwin (HUS) pulled in 8 Receptions of his own from 9 Targets to reach a Career High 121 yards…the only Receiving Touchdown on the day for the Buccaneers let him reach 26.10 points…Julio Jones (WAR) led all ACTIVE Receivers with 2 Touchdowns on the day…even though he only had 5 Receptions on 10 Targets…106 yards was enough to finish out at 27.60 points…in his return to New Yor…err…New Jersey…on Monday Night Football…Odell Beckham Jr (UOG) only pulled in 6 of his 10 Targets…but 1 of them was for the longest Touchdown of his Career at 89 yards to lead all ACTIVE Receivers with 161 yards and finishing in a tie with the Running Back of the Week at 28.10 points…

Justin Tucker (HUR)

3 Kickers managed to crack 2-digit scoring in Week 2…Robbie Gould (FUD) got 8 Kick Opportunities against the Bengals…nailing 5 Extra Points and 2 30+ yard Field Goals to reach 11.0…before a 39 yard miss brought him back down to 10.0 points…Will Lutz (RNT) only had 3 Kick Opportunities…but he made them all count hitting 3 Field Goals including distance bonus earners of 42 and 52 yards on the way to 10.40 points…Justin Tucker (HUR) followed the Golden Path with 5 Kicks…2 Extra Points and 3 Field Goals…but a 51 yard distance earner brought his final score up to 12.10 points…

New England Patriots (HUS)

The NFL may have to institute new rules after this year to prevent teams from dumping games before the Season starts…but until then we have “WHOEVER GETS MIAMI THIS WEEK”…the New England Patriots (HUS) had their way with the Dolphins…allowing only 42 yards on 15 carries (2.8 ypc) on the ground…on 39 drop backs by the Dolphin Quarterbacks…they had 7 Sacks and 4 Interceptions…an Effective Pressure Rate of 28.2%….Ryan Fitzpatrick had only 3 Snaps on the New England side of the field for the entire game…

Josh Rosen finally drove down to the New England 8 yard line in the final 30 seconds before tossing the game ending Interception and securing the 15 Point Shutout Bonus on their way to 42.00 points…at least they don’t get to play the Dolphins again till Week 17 when the TBFL Season will be over…it is the 2nd Highest Defensive Score ever posted in the TBFL (46|Seahawks|HUR|2012 WK14)…and a new Franchise Record for Husslers…

Week 2 All Bench Team

Team of the Week

Husslers took the early lead in Week 2 with the 26.10 outburst from Chris Godwin on Thursday Night against the Panthers…the 42.00 point Dolphin debacle helped them pile on another 99.8 points in the Early Sunday frame to hold the lead at 125.90 points…Sunday Afternoon games saw X-Factor get to striking distance at 112.30 points but end there taking a 0 score from their Broncos Defense for the 2nd Week in a row…Julio Jones 2 Touchdowns on Sunday Night brought Warriors to the top of the heap at 132.45 points…but with no more player minutes remaining…Nick Chubb got to work on Monday Night and on his 11th touch of the game scrambled for a 19 yard Rushing Touchdown to secure the Week 2 Team of the Week title for Husslers…it has been 19 games since they last earned the title in Week 8 of the 2017 Season…145.70 is now their highest ever score in Week 2 of a Season (141.60|2017)…it is their 6th TOTW award overall…maintaining a Champ Rate of 5.66%…

Chump of the Week

Early Sunday action saw UO Grandmasters way back on the starting line trailing Husslers 125.90 to…3.00…from their Kicker…at the end of the Sunday Afternoon frame they still were bringing up the rear with only 35.40 points…Sunday Night’s Battle of the Birds allowed them to climb out of the hole leaving Money Inc in the bottom slot with only 63.10 points…trailing Week 1 winner Hurricanes at 86.25…325 yards from Baker Mayfield on Monday Night Football was a good boost…but with only 1 long Touchdown on the night they still ended up short on 82.35 points…Money Inc take their 23rd Chump Score as a Franchise…5 games after last claiming the award in Week 9 of the 2018 Season…with 236 Regular Season games played it is a Chump Rate of 9.75%…

Notes and Numbers

Da Bears posted a perfect 100% efficiency rating to win 117.15 to 112.30 over X-Factor…It is a new Franchise Record for Da Bears (I imagine we will be saying that alot this year)…X-Factor becomes the 1st team to lose to Da Bears…ending a 5 game Regular Season winning streak dating back to Week 10 of the 2018 Season…

UO Grandmasters come back on Monday Night to defeat Runs N Throses 116.85 to 97.95 makes them the only team this week with more than a 1 game winning streak against their opponent…they have now won 2 in a row vs Runs N Throses…

Runs N Throses have now lost 7 straight Regular Season Games…1 away from tying their Franchise Record worst ever streak of 8 losses from Weeks 2 thru 9 of 2012…even though they have averaged 110.84 points over that run…

Bay Area Thrashers extended their current streak to 15 Regular Season Games scoring at least 100.75 points…

Week 3 brings the start of Division Play…

Hurricanes and Runs N Throses will put our 2 Winless records on the line in the Battle of 0-3…Hurricanes has only had 1 Season with an 0-3 start (2014)….while Runs N Throses has never had 1…Hurricanes has won the last 2 meetings between the teams…

In our Oldest Version of the Brothers War…Elder Riley’s Warriors sit on top of the Buccaneers throne at 2-0…but Younger Riley’s X-Factor is at the top of the Power Rankings…and Josh has won 8 of the last 9 in this contest going back to 2014…

In the Brothers War 2.0…(I don’t know who the elder Beveridge is?) Kevin and his Thrashers will be the 1st ever Division Opponent for Da Bears (it just worked out that way…schedule matrix)…the winner will walk away still tied for the lead in the Storm Division…

Gorilla Warfare and Cook tied with UO Grandmasters and Beckham…and they sit tied at 1-1 playing to remain tied for the Storm Division lead…since 2015 these 2 teams have traded off sweeping the other for the Season…with the pendulum swinging Erik’s way for 2019…

Week 1 TOTW Fudgie Whales sits tied with Week 2 COTW Money Inc in the bottom 2 rungs of the Bandit Division ladder…but the Carvel crew holds the best All-Play Record in the TBFL right now at 17-5 (.773) compared to Tim’s 8-14 (.364)…Fudgie Whales have also won the last 2 meetings between these teams…

And finally at the top of the Bandit Division…2-0 Bubba Army will face off with Week 2 TOTW Husslers to try and grapple early control of the Bandit Division title race…the Overall Record here is deadlocked at 8-8-1 with the 2 splitting the annual series almost every Season…but Bubba Army currently rides a 2 game win streak including the 2018 Empire Cup Semi-Final…
