Your Commish is back with the regular Wednesday dose (hopefully anyway….) of Statistically Speaking….Week 1 of TBFL action leaves us with a few ties to sort out and ultimately 5 Player of the Week trophies to give out to 3 teams….Team of the Week….Chump of the Week….A new contest is born….and a milestone is reached….all after the break….
“ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR UNIT”We start things off right in Week 1….well most of us anyway….16-8 on the opening weekend for a +$560 to the virtual bankroll….Hunter goes perfect on his NCAA selections and Shawn goes perfect with the professional picks….Shannon and Kevin both bite the bullet on Green Bay this weekend and are the only two to start in the red at 1-2….Everyone else manages 2-1 and +$70 after the vig….All eight losing wagers were made on four teams – Buffalo, Detroit, Green Bay, and New Orleans….full results after the break….

“ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR UNIT”Welcome back to our 2nd Publicly Documented Season of the 5-Star Pick-3 Contest! All 8 brave degenerate players are returning from the 2011 Season….The offer was extended to any new players who wanted to jump in for 2012 but there were no takers (pussies!)….After whining about it to the point of making his own NCAA Pick 3 Posts last year….we are allowing Hunter and anyone else who thinks the NFL is ‘too hard’ to play NCAA games this year….Week 1 picks are after the break….
The 2012 Franchise Player deadline has passed and 77 players will be returning to action with their same teams. This is 1 player short of the record set in 2010. At least one player from every position has been kept, and at least 1 player in every eligible Franchise Round just like that season.

This is a reminder that the Franchise Player Deadline is two weeks from today on August 26, 2012. The 2012 TBFL Draft will be at Noon EST on the following Sunday September 2nd. So far I have received initial and partial franchise lists from most of you, but some owners have yet to submit anything.
