We kick off Week 1 split right down the middle…well almost anyway…14-15-1 is a 48.3% Win Rate…and starts the Virtual Piggybank a little hungry down $400 to start the season…Burgess and Huss both caught backdoor covers from Indy and San Diego to stay perfect…while Kevin got caught with a PUSH playing from the Denver side to end at 2-0-1…An NCAA-less Hunter…New Player Josh…and Yours Truly all added the Egg Kansas City laid against Tennessee to our Goose Egg collections or we could have ended in the BLACK overall…

The 2014 NFL Season kicks off tonight…and with it comes the return of the Chris Thomas 5-Star Pick-3 Handicapping contest…where our group of degenerates picks 3 games every week against the number and tries to come out on the Black side of the balance sheet to fill the Virtual Piggybank. Yeah it was that bad…I will put together a final breakdown post for the 2013 season this weekend…but wanted to get these picks up before the game starts tonight so you can run with them at your local S.T.I.B.. No NCAA love from Hunter in Week 1…but be sure to expect some in the coming weeks.
Kansas city is the most popular play on the board with 3 Units being wagered…3 more Units will follow the Panthers/Bucs outcome with Units on both sides and the total…Cincy…The Pack…The Eagles…The Saints…and the OVER in the Raiders/Jets match all get 2 Units a piece…with a smattering of 1-Shots across the rest of the board.

Every year we all enter Week 1 with the goal of becoming the next TBFL Champions…but that is not the only contest we have running. If you find yourself not in the running for a Playoff spot…and not in the running for any Team-of-the-Week bonuses…there are still other ways to stay involved with your other TBFL owners:

The 2014 Franchise Player deadline has passed and 73 players will be returning to action with their same teams…a full 6 rounds of the 2014 TBFL Draft are completed before we even begin. After all the last minute frenzy of trading and list changing subsided…we ended up with at least one Franchise Tag in every eligible round.
No Defenses or Kickers received tags this year.
