Players wanted to quickly forget the Week 4 outcome as I was bombarded with picks before I even sent out the Tuesday Board…This week should be either Really Good or Really Bad as we are all on only a handful of games…5 players jumped on the early line where New England was getting 2½ at the Hilton…3 plays are on the Saints (with the over)…Double Shots on Kansas City, Seattle, and Atlanta…and Hunter got Kevin to jump in with him on his Lock of the Week – Ohio State…We normally do not allow late entries…but Hernandez just found out about the contest and insisted we let him play…he’s a fellow Dol-Fan and backs his picks up by taking them to the local STIB…so I allowed it…The virtual piggy bank needs all the help it can get…

Oh the poor virtual piggy bank…as the government shuts down…the VPG goes deeper into deficit spending…7-13-4 is only a 35% win rate and puts us another $840 in the hole to sit at -$2,160 on the season…yechh…Only Hunter and his NCAA picks went positive at 2-0-1…five other players managed 1 Win…the 3 other pushes came on both sides of the Houston/Seattle game…Here is the carnage…

Our degenerate heroes end 14-10-0 in Week 2…a 58.33% Win Rate…Good enough to stay in the BLACK +$160 after the vig…but we are still -$1,180 in the Virtual Piggy Bank…Hunter comes back from the 0-3 start getting our first 3-0 Weekend on the year with his NCAA plays…Shannon, Gasper, Shawn, and Kevin all go 2-1-0…and everyone else ends on 1-2-0…Shannon and Shawn still sit as the only players in the BLACK for the season after 2 Weeks at 66.7%…Gasper and Hunter have climbed back to 50% and are only down the vig on 6 games…Let’s get ready for Week 3…

Week 1 was a huge disappointment…lets get the ship righted in Week 2…New Orleans and Indy are the most popular plays with 3 each followed by Buffalo with 2 plays as the underdog…Our current leaders: Shannon takes 2 road dogs and one of 3 plays on Overs…Shawn takes points on three dogs of his own…Good Luck everyone…

We are off to a good start with the first scheduled post arriving on time!

And that  is the end of the good news…as far as the picks themselves in Week 1…

Well …yeah…they just sucked ass is what they did…apparently our heroes have a little rust to knock off from the off-season…Only Shannon and Shawn managed to pair up 2 winning picks to start the season in the Black…Gasper and Burgess both found 1 winner…and new player Huss PUSH-ed his way to half a win…Everyone else took the goose eggs as our group finishes 6-17-1 to start the season…The horrid 27% win-rate means our Virtual Piggybank is already on life support sitting at $1,340 to the negative…Full results below:

Here we go! After a tremendously successful season in 2012…What? You didn’t read the 2012 Year End review post ? That magnificent post breaking down our top successes and the Week so bad we dare not say it’s name? Oh yeah…I didn’t finish it yet…it’s coming don’t worry. Just take my word for it…we were awesome in 2012. But the 2013 Season is here now and we all start on $0 in the virtual piggybank.  Riley is dropping from the contest, but Huss is going to step up and take his place.
